Themes:
The photos I took all show an example of negative space. This makes them interesting because of the contrast that is created between the positive and negative spaces. It keeps the viewers eye interested and moving around the composition. People are more likely to be attracted to this type of arrangement because of the differences in value and the unique shapes created by this style.
Possible Artistic Ramifications:
- Using the contrast to create interesting graphic designs
- Making abstract prints by utilizing negative space
- Taking photographs with negative space or silhouettes could make a good arrangement
- An artist who used silhouettes and negative space to make nice illustrations is Tang Yau Hoong. His designs use contrast to make two images within one.
